Jeff and Cyndie Schmitt
both enjoyed 15 year successful professional careers. Jeff is an
acoustical engineer and served as President of Acoustic Systems,
an Austin, TX based manufacturing firm until 1995. Cyndie is a
legislative policy analyst and has spent her career working with
the Texas Legislature.
But, their real love was the travel,
adventure, the outdoors, and flyfishing. So, in 1995 they quit
their jobs, rented their house and moved into a 5th wheel trailer
for what turned out to be a 4 year mid-life break. The goal of the
adventure was to visit and flyfish the great rivers of the Western
US, Canada, and Alaska.
