In 1995, Jeff and Cyndie set aside their careers to pursue personal interests: travel, flyfishing and adventure. They lived in a 5th wheel trailer that had been converted into a fishing cabin on wheels. Their Ford F350 pickup and custom designed inflatable boat took them to places where dreams are made. Rowdy, their Golden Retriever, came along for the adventure. This newsletter was produced 6 times a year to chronicle and share the adventures. It was distributed to family, friends, business associates and folks they met along the way. |

We Made it Back... For those of you who were left hanging at the end of our last issue when we were "Stranded in the Yukon ", due to a mechanical breakdown, you'll be happy to learn that we did make it back to Austin before we were frozen in for the season. We did cheat you out of your last issue for the season that would have described our adventures in British Columbia, which were highlighted with a 23-pound steelhead trout (a fish of a lifetime!). You also would have read about a visit to Reno, Yosemite and Albuquerque and Oklahoma, before we made our way back to Texas. But, for" what you pay to receive this fine publication, you can't complain about it being a bit late from time to time. ..... to Reality. The winter months are working months for us and we're back in Austin trying to make enough money to pay for our next adventure. Cyndie is already in the middle of the Texas Legislative Session, where she plays the role of lobbyist on behalf of Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services. Jeff is doing acoustical consulting work for Dell Computer, Acoustic Systems and a few other clients around the country. We're living in our trailer in our back yard in Austin, Texas, while our good friend, Margana Nalley, rents our house. We'll be in Austin until the Session is over, and then we plan to head back out west to visit some of our favorite rivers and friends. Plan on coming to see us. Special Color Invitation Enclosed We've shared our stories with you for the past several years. We've been able to share our slides with some of you. But many of us have not been able to get together. Enclosed is an invitation to a special opportunity to see our slides in a great setting. By combining in our photographs with some new computer technology, we're going to be able to present a multi-media slide presentation in a facility with excellent audio-visual equipment. It will be a great way to see our photos. For those of you who can't make it, a small sample is enclosed. We're in touch so, please, stay in touch.
